About Airbrush Tanning
Airbrush tanning, also known as spray tanning, is using a hand-help device to apply liquid self tanning spray to a persons body. I use an HVLP spray gun because it is quick and flawless application to the body. The liquid or solution that I use contains DHA (Dihydroxyacetone) which is that magic ingredient that all self-tanning creams, sprays and lotions contain. The FDA approved this ingredient for external purposes to be applied on to the body. It comes from the sugar cane or sugar beets and is the healthier alternative of tanning.
DHA reacts with skin proteins, including amino acids, in the outermost layer of skin. The reaction develops brown skin coloring that looks very similar to a natural tan. The tan fades as the dead layers of skin slough off, just as in normal tanning.
Most of the spray tanning solutions that I use all contain cosmetic bronzers in different colors so I can give you a brown that suits your skin type and preference. I therefore carry many different brands of solutions because I know that everyone has different likes and tastes of tanning results. The solution with the bronzer will stay on your body approximately 6-8 hours or longer with some brands.
